Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµÈë¿Ú Administration and Faculty Union Reach Tentative Agreement to Extend Collective Bargaining Agreements
CLEVELAND (August 24, 2020) – Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµÈë¿Ú (Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµÈë¿Ú) administration, the American Association of University Professors Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµÈë¿Ú chapter (AAUP-Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµÈë¿Ú), and AAUP-Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµÈë¿Ú-Law School (LS) chapter are pleased to announce that the parties have a tentative agreement to extend the current Collective Bargaining Agreements, which expired August 15, 2020.
The tentative agreement was reached after multiple sessions of engaged, candid, and professional discussions. The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµÈë¿Ú-AAUP and Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµÈë¿Ú-AAUP-LS chapters will present the tentative agreement to their membership for ratification. Upon ratification by the union membership, the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµÈë¿Ú administration will present the tentative agreement to the Board of Trustees for approval.
The parties believe that constructive dialog, mutual understanding, transparency, and collective efforts are essential for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµÈë¿Ú to emerge from the current pandemic in a stronger, more sustainable position and plan to continue further interactions in that spirit.
